Importance: "King of Timber." Nilambur Teak has a Global GI tag.
Nutrient Value: Non-edible. Heartwood contains natural repellent.
Medicinal Value: Bark decoction used for bronchitis; wood powder for inflammations.
Ecological Value: Excellent for long-term carbon sequestration.
Ornamental Value: Moderate. Majestic tall straight trunks; large white flower clusters.
