Planting: Pit size: 75 cm×75 cm×75 cm. Spacing: 8 m×8 m (standard) or 6 m×6 m (high density).
Manuring: Organic: 25 kg FYM per year. Chemical: N:P:K in ratio 18:4:18 (500 g per year for young trees, increasing to 2.5 kg for mature trees).
Irrigation: Critical during flowering (Jan–Feb) and fruit set. Requires 20–40 Liters/day during summer.
Importance: Highest commercial ROI among exotics; fruits can remain on the tree for 15 days after ripening.
Nutrient Value: Rich in Vitamin C, Iron, and Manganese. Seeds contain healthy oleic acids.
Medicinal Value: Antiseptic properties; traditionally used to treat fever and dysentery.
Ecological Value: High carbon sequestration; attracts honeybees and local pollinators.
